The Universidad Externado de Colombia (Externado University of Colombia) is a private university in Bogota, Colombia. Externado University is one of the oldest and most prestigious accredited private universities in Latin America as well as one of the most recognized in Colombia in the areas of Law; Finance, Government and International Relations; Account; Economics; and Business Administration. It is a higher learning and social sciences research institution, known for its rigor and academic excellence, as well as its pluralistic approach to academia upon which the institution was founded.

Costs

It is estimated that a single student living in Bogota will need approximately $500 US / $750 US a month to meet basic living expenses such as accommodation, food, books and equipment and other necessities. This figure is given as a guide only. The amount you actually spend will depend on your personal lifestyle. 
   

Housing

Universidad Externado does not have on-campus accommodation. However, the University has agreements with LivvinX and CityU two residential buildings that offer student dorm style accommodation and provide a special discount for international exchange students from Universidad Externado.
