Universidad Alberto Hurtado (UAH)

Alberto Hurtado University is part of a network of more than 200 Jesuit institutions of higher education, present in 65 countries. In turn, it belongs to the Chilean Chapter of Catholic Universities and the Association of Universities Entrusted to the Society of Jesus in Latin America (AUSJAL), which is made up of 30 institutions in 14 countries of the Region. It has also signed specific collaboration and mobility agreements with some of the 28 establishments that make up the Jesuit Colleges and Universities of the United States (AJCU) and Jesuit institutions in Asia, Oceania and Europe. It should also be noted that it is part of the Association of Catholic Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL), which is in addition to other agreements that have been established with institutions, both in Chile and abroad.

Location

The UAH is located in the center of Santiago, at the Los Héroes Metro station, just steps away from the main historical, political and cultural landmarks of the capital. The Palace of La Moneda, the Palace of Courts, the Former National Congress, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the National Historical Museum, the Plaza de Armas, the Santa Lucia Hill, the National Library, the Mapocho Station, the Museum of Fine Arts and the GAM Cultural Center.

A campus in the heart of the city helps to generate identity and materialize the decision of an inclusive university, open to all and connected to the problems of the country.

Language Requirements

Intensive Spanish Program

It is a three-week program taught by teachers specializing in teaching Spanish to foreigners that is offered before the beginning of each semester.
