What You Will Learn
This immersion program in Japanese can greatly enhance a student’s learning and understanding of the Japanese language and various aspects of Japanese culture and environment. The program gives students an authentic language environment to (continue) developing the proficiency in Japanese through classroom study and communicative practice.
Learn about Japanese culture and environments through a personal experience. Being in-country provides a more extensive and permanent learning experience that derives from lectures in a classroom in the United States. Trident Japanese Language & Culture Summer Program emphasizes “speaking and listening Japanese” that the students who study in the USA need to experience the most. Trident also provides “a host-family” for every student that allows each student to live with a family so they can experience the life of Japanese people.
The Trident Institute is located in the center of Nagoya which is the third largest city in Japan.
Applicants must meet with APD in order to receive approval to be enrolled in the program
Participants must complete the required online application and be officially admitted to the program.
Courses are divided by language ability and range from complete beginner to advanced level. Every student enrolling in Trident is assessed before commencing their course and is placed in the class level that best suits their personal ability. This creates a very effective learning environment.
