Language Requirements

  • You are required to send us a certificate stating your French language level, signed by a teacher in your home university.
  •  To attend courses and take exams successfully, you should have a B2 level. If not, a minimum B1 level is required. You will then have to attend French proficiency evening courses (free of charge for 1 semester) on arrival. If you have a proof of an official French language test, please send us a copy of it (TCF, DELF, DALF).
  • Non-French-speaking applicants, or those who do not hold a 3rd level French language competence certificate, must take a language test (TCF DAP), organized by the International Centre for Educational Studies (CIEP). This test costs around €70 and takes place in February or in March at French universities. In case of unforeseen and duly justified difficulties, two replacement sessions are programmed in March in Paris: www.ciep.fr/tcfdap
